Last year, LaRiviere guided the Beavers' novice eight team to the 2002 Pac-10 Championship and the varsity four to a second place finish at the championships.

What Happened Last Week: The Cougars kicked off the spring season with a splash winning five out of the six match-ups against Gonzaga. The varsity eight beat Gonzaga by nearly 15 seconds in the 2000m course, and the second varsity eight team beat the Bulldogs by just over 15 seconds. The varsity four "B" squad and novice eight and second novice eight teams were also victorious.

WSU Head Coach Jane LaRiviere on facing Oregon State: "I'm really looking forward to going back to my old stomping grounds. I'm also excited for our first Pac-10 Conference competition and hope we have some competitive races."
