WSU WOMEN: The Washington State women will send a full team to the event led by seniors Molly Bull and Julia Corbett...freshmen Michelle DeCourcey, Jennifer Kronvall, Eileen Morley, Collier Lawrence and Isley Gonzalez comprise the rest of the Cougar contingent...the smaller race gives the youthful squad a chance to stretch their legs against quality Big Sky competitors...the remainder of the women's team including senior Ana Cabrera and freshman Haley Paul, top finisher at last week's Roy Griak Invitational, continue to train in preparation for the Pre-Nationals meet at Terra Haute, Ind., in two weeks.
WSU MEN: The Cougar men will be represented by redshirt junior Jon Manthey, sophomore Andrew Jones, and redshirt freshmen Chris Concha and Geoff Casazza...Jones, Concha and Casazza, coming off tough finishes at the Griak, look to improve on their finish-time goals...the training continues for the rest of the men's squad, including seniors Danny Wolf and Mike Heidt, as the team prepares for the tough competition of the upcoming large format races.
NEXT COMPETITION: The Cougar harriers have a week off before they travel to Pre-Nationals in Terre Haute, Ind., Oct. 16...WSU will also send a second squad to Cheney, Wash., that same day to compete in the EWU Invitational.
