PULLMAN, Wash. --- Departing Washington State soccer seniors Beth Childs and Lindsey Jorgensen ended their Cougar careers by receiving prestigious honors at the annual Senior Banquet Friday, May 10.

Childs, who was named to three Pac-10 All-Academic teams during her four years on the Palouse, received the Senior Excellence Award for academic achievement. The Snoqualmie, Wash., native finished her career on the field as the program's all-time leader in assists.

Jorgensen earned the Beulah Blankenship Award, given annually to a senior for personal achievement. The North Bend, Wash., native also was named to the Pac-10 All-Academic team three times. Jorgensen leaves Washington State as the career leader in minutes in goal, saves, and shutouts.
