Richard's winning 'Cougar Football Moment':
"Cougar football Saturday as a child meant we would watch the Cougs try and compete and win a game here and there. Until, one Saturday afternoon in 1988. I was twelve at the time and my brother fourteen (both future Cougars). We turn on to watch our beloved Cougs take on number one ranked UCLA. Halfway through the second, we figure the Cougs will fall today and decide to play some Nerf football in the backyard. After we are out of energy we return in doors and turn on the television. Before we can see the picture we can hear the voice of Keith Jackson booming, 'If Washington State can hold em here, the game is all but over and we will have an upset of gigantic proportions.' My brother and I are in awe and just start jumping up and down screaming 'they're winning, how are they winning!!!' As all good Coug fans know they stopped the Bruins and went on to victory. I figure this is better then telling the misery of the Marinovich miracle in Pullman."
