Pullman, Wash. - Washington State sophomore guard Josh Akognon's 16 points in a three minute span during the second half, to lead the Cougars to a 60-47 victory against Southern California, Feb. 11, was named as a winner of the first 2006 "Pontiac Pac-10 Game Changing Performance."

As a "Pontiac Pac-10 Game Changing Performance" winner, WSU is now in the running for the best basketball "Pontiac Pac-10 Game Changing Performance." Starting March 8, fans are encouraged to go on-line to the to vote for their favorite "Pontiac Pac-10 Game Changing Performance" from the 2005-06 season.

The performance receiving the most votes will be announced during the Fox Sports broadcast of the second semi-final game at the Pac-10 Men's Basketball Pacific Life Tournament on March 10, 2006 at the Staples Center. The winner will receive a $10,000 scholarship check from Pontiac.
