Freshman Salena Dickerson, a 5-foot-11 transfer from Gonzaga University plays in both the guard and forward positions for the Cougars. She has led the team twice this season in rebounds with seven against Portland (11/9/07) and eight against Boise State (12/9/07). She also led the team in scoring against North Carolina State (11/23/07) with 15 points. Dickerson enters the weekend series against the Bay Area schools with 113 points and 52 rebounds on the season.

How are you feeling now that you have two Pac-10 victories under your belt?

"It feels really good. I think it gives us a lot more confidence to finish out the season and gives us a good attitude going into the Pac-10 tournament."

Favorite moment of the 2007-08 season?

"My favorite moment would be winning the Oregon State game because it was the Pink Out night and we were playing really hard for all the people affected by breast cancer."

Who is the person that has inspired you the most in your life and why?

"My dad would be the person that has inspired me the most because he's the one that has always been there throughout my whole basketball career. He's been there for all the traveling to AAU tournaments. He's been there every step of the way and he's been to a lot of the games this year so far. He's my number one supporter."

What advice would you give to young girls who aspire to be college basketball players?

"It takes a lot of hard work and dedication, but anything is possible. If you're willing to put in the work and stick with it no matter what happens, then you'll get there."

How was it getting to play on the same Arizona court that your brother, Michael Dickerson, played on while he was in college?

"That was a really good feeling just being able to look up there and see all the banners from when they won the championship in '97. It was a really good feeling to play on the same court he played on."
