Cougars Open Spring Season in Arizona

What's Happening This Week: The Washington State University men's golf team will begin the spring season at the Snowman Invitational, Monday.

Course Information: The Snowman Invitational will take place at the Whirlwind Golf Club in Chandler, Ariz. The course is a 7,218 yard, par-72. The teams will play 36 holes on Monday with a 7:30 a.m. shotgun start and 18 holes Tuesday with an 8 a.m. shotgun start.

The Field: The 15-team tournament field includes Bradley, British Columbia, Gonzaga, Idaho, Missouri, UMKC, Northern Colorado, Northern Illinois, Portland, St. John's, Seattle, Southern Illinois-Edwardsville, Utah State and Washington State.

This Event Last Year: Washington State finished first at the previously named, Snowman Getaway at the Whirlwind Golf Club last February. Leading the way for the Cougars were senior Nick Ellis and junior Trent Sanders who finished tied for fourth.
