PULLMAN, Wash. - Washington State University Women's Basketball Head Coach June Daugherty announced the signing of Kezia Kelly to a financial aid agreement, Thursday.

Joining the squad from Auckland, New Zealand, Kelly is the Cougars' only international player on the roster.

"I am very proud that we were able to attract a player of Kezia's caliber from overseas," Daugherty said. "We had the opportunity to watch her play in the national championship game and we were very impressed."

The 5-foot-6 point guard led the North Harbor U17 basketball team to an undefeated season in 2005, and a first place finish at both the regional and national tournaments. Kelly also made the all-tournament team at both the New Zealand Secondary School Championships and the Northern Regional New Zealand Championships, being voted most valuable player at the latter event.
