Jordan 36th at USA Junior Cross Country Championships

SAN DIEGO -- Cougar freshman Andrew Jordan finished 36th in men's junior race at the USA Cross Country Championships Saturday at Mission Bay Park in San Diego.

Jordan, from Medford, Ore., ran the 8000m course in 26 minutes, 27 seconds, running a 5:15 per mile pace. Stanford freshman Erik Olson won the junior men's race in a time of 24:48.

To compete in the Junior race a runner must be older than 16 and not turn 20 years old during the 2011 calendar year. The top six finishers from the USA Cross Country Championships will comprise the USA team to compete at the World Championship in Punta Umbria, Spain March 20, 2011.
