PULLMAN, Wash. - Washington State's Men's Golf Coach Walt Williams announced the signing of junior college standout Ryan Witz to a National Letter of Intent, Wednesday.

"We are very excited to have Ryan sign with us," said coach Williams. "He is a very good player who will have an immediate impact next fall."

Witz, coming off a second place finish at the NJCAA Championships in 2003, was named Pima Community College's first ever All-American men's golfer by firing a four round total of 289 (72-74-72-71).

Along with being named 1st team All-American, the Tucson, Ariz. native also brings with him All-Conference and Region honors. Witz's career highlights also include an 8-under at the Arizona Stroke Play Championships and the Fred Enke Golf Course record at Tucson.

Witz will enter the 2004-05 season as a junior.
