PULLMAN, Wash. - Washington State's Trent Sanders shot even par to win the 36-hole Indland Indy, Monday.

Sanders shot a 71 in the morning on the par-71 University of Idaho Golf Course in Moscow, Idaho and backed it up with a 72 on the par-72 Palouse Ridge Golf Course in Pullman during the afternoon.

Nick Ellis of Washington State and Justin Kadin of Idaho shared the first round lead with a 1-under 70. Ellis shot a 2-over 74 in the second round to finish one shot back of Sanders. Kadin was 3-over in the afternoon and tied for third with the Cougars' Paul Mitzel (72-73-145). Cody Robinson (75-73-148) from Washington State rounded out the top five.

"The wind and rain made for very difficult conditions today," WSU Head Coach Walt Williams said. "Our kids toughed it out and Trent (Sanders), Nick (Ellis) and Paul (Mitzel) played solid and showed a little fight."
