PULLMAN, Wash. - Washington State University has signed offensive linemen Wade Jacobson and David Gonzales to National Letters of Intent, Cougar Football Head Coach Paul Wulff announced Wednesday. Jacobson and Gonzales are expected to enroll in classes at WSU for spring semester, beginning Jan. 11.

"We felt all along Wade was one of the top offensive tackles on the West coast," said Wulff. "The fact that he and David can come in January makes them both very valuable to Cougar Football. Wade instantly brings us great toughness and athletic ability, and as a team we got better today."

Jacobson (Hollister, Calif.) spent the past two seasons at Gavilan College in Gilroy, Calif., playing for head coach John Lango. This past season Jacobson garnered All-Coast Conference and All-Region honors, as he was one of the top junior college tackles in the state.

"David is a great addition to our program," said Wulff. "He brings excellent size and athleticism to our program and can really help our pass protection. Having him arrive in January will be critical, as it gives him additional time in the weight room and allows him to participate in our spring practices."

Gonzales (Fresno, Calif.) spent the last two years at Fresno City College, where he played for head coach Tony Caviglia. This past season he was an All-Valley Conference First Team selection. His team went 6-4 record, including a season-ending 34-6 win at No. 13 Reedley.
