COUGAR SPORTS THIS WEEK:
Beginning next week , you can listen to the "Cougar Sports This Week" hosted by Bud Nameck...WSU head coach Paul Graham will be on live from The Bookie on the Washington State campus from 6-7 p.m. every week through March 19...there will be three Wednesday broadcasts (Dec. 5 and 26, and Jan. 2)...all other shows take place Tuesday...the show can be heard over the Cougar Radio Network.

COUGARS ON TELEVISION:
Washington State is currently scheduled to make 11 appearances on television this season during its 27-game regular season, including five national, four regional and two local broadcasts...the Cougars will be on FOX Sports Net vs. UCLA (Dec. 22), vs. USC (Dec. 29), at UCLA (Jan. 6), at California (Jan. 19) and at Oregon State (Feb. 23)...FOX Sports Net Southwest will carried the game at Texas (Dec. 10) and FOX Sports Net Northwest will televise the games at Gonzaga (Dec. 15), vs. Oregon (Jan. 26) and at Washington (Feb. 27)...KUSK (Phoenix) will televise the Jan. 12 contest vs. Arizona State and KRON (San Francisco) will carry the Feb. 14 game vs. California).

GONZAGA PREVIEW:
The Bulldogs are 8-2 and ranked 25th in this week's Associated Press poll...Gonzaga has played four teams the Cougars have faced or will face this season...the Bulldogs defeated Montana and Texas, two of the three losses for WSU this season...Gonzaga and WSU both have wins over Arkansas-Pine Bluff...the Bulldogs knocked off Washington 67-47 in Seattle, Tuesday.

SERIES WITH GONZAGA:
The Cougars are 95-40 versus the Bulldogs...Gonzaga has won the last two meetings...in four of the seven seasons WSU has advanced to the postseason in its history, the Cougars have defeated Gonzaga...in the other three seasons, the Bulldogs and Cougars did not meet...Gonzaga has made four trips to the NCAA Tournament...in two of those seasons, WSU was on the schedule and the Bulldogs won both meetings.

MOORE VERSUS DICKAU:
Washington State's Marcus Moore (Inglewood, Calif.) and Gonzaga's Dan Dickau are among the premier point guards in the country...a statistical comparison between the two shows Moore ahead in assists per game (6.43-4.10), assist/turnover ratio (2.65-1.41), steals per game (3.57-0.80) and rebounds per game (5.1-2.7)...Dickau is ahead in scoring (17.2-15.7 points per game).

COUGARS FACE RANKED TEAMS:
Washington State's next two games are against teams ranked in this weeks Associated Press top 25...Gonzaga is 25th and UCLA, the Cougars Pacific-10 opener Dec. 22, is ranked 17th...WSU is 37-166 all-time versus ranked opponents, including a 26-89 record at home and a 9-85 mark on the road...the Cougars are 3-28 in the month of December...WSU has never faced Gonzaga when the Bulldogs have been ranked and is 3-55 against a ranked Bruins squad...WSU has lost 25 straight to ranked opponents and 12 straight on the road...the last win over a ranked opponent 89-87, Feb. 22, 1997 over No. 25 California...the last road win was 68-59 at No. 24 Stanford, Feb. 22, 1996...the Cougars are 2-0 versus teams ranked 25th.

INJURY UPDATE:
Junior guard Nick Graham (Stillwater, Okla.) has surgery on his right ankle Nov. 23 and has not played this season...junior forward Milton Riley (Gardena, Calif.) has missed three straight games with a sprained right mid foot...his status for Saturday's game is doubtful.

TEXAS DEFEATS WASHINGTON STATE:
Led by Chris Owens' 19 points, the Longhorns dropped the Cougars to 4-3 with a 79-52 win in Austin, Dec. 10...the loss was the worst nonconference defeat for the Cougars since No. 4 Michigan State, led by Magic Johnson, beat WSU 98-52, Dec. 27, 1978...junior Jerry McNair (Torrance, Calif.) led WSU with 14 points and freshman Thomas Kelati (Walla Walla) recorded his first double figure rebounding game with a game-high 10.

McNAIR HELPS WSU RALLY PAST TEXAS-PAN AMERICAN:
Junior Jerry McNair (Torrance, Calif.) scored 20 of his team-high 26 points in the second half as the Cougars rallied from a nine-point halftime deficit to defeat Texas-Pan American, 70-67, Dec. 7...McNair hit three consecutive three-pointers late in the second half to give WSU the lead for good at 63-59...senior J Locklier (Rock Hill, S.C.) added 17 points and a game-high seven rebounds for the Cougars.

MOORE LEADS COUGS PAST VANDALS:
Sophomore Marcus Moore (Inglewood, Calif.) scored a career-high 31 points and added eight rebounds, five assists and five steals to lead Washington State to an 81-55 over Idaho, Dec. 4.

COUGARS KNOCK OFF ARKANSAS-PINE BLUFF:
Sophomore Marcus Moore (Inglewood, Calif.) recorded the second double-double of his career with 26 points and 10 assists, to lead WSU to a 91-75 win over the Golden Lions, Dec. 1 in Pullman...the 10 assists are a career high...senior J Locklier (Rock Hill, S.C.) scored 19 points for the second consecutive game to equal his career high.

WSU FALLS SHORT AT MONTANA:
Senior Mike Bush (Riverside, Calif.) came off the bench to score a game-high 24 points at Montana, Nov. 28, but the Cougars lost to the Grizzlies 75-71...senior J Locklier (Rock Hill, S.C.) tallied a career-high 19 points and tied Bush with a game-high seven rebounds.

COUGARS ROUT PRAIRIE VIEW A&M:
Junior Jerry McNair (Torrance, Calif.) scored a game-high 22 points to lead WSU to a 103-55 blowout of the Panthers, Nov. 24 in Pullman...the Cougars tied a team school record with 17 steals led by sophomore Marcus Moore (Inglewood, Calif.), who registered seven thefts, one shy of the school record.

WSU DROPS OPENER TO COLORADO STATE:
Despite 17 points from junior Justin Lyman (Missouri City, Texas), WSU lost its season opener 79-75 to the Rams, Nov. 20 at the Spokane Arena...senior Mike Bush (Riverside, Calif.) scored 12 points off the bench for WSU just three days after playing wide receiver in the Apple Cup for the Cougar football team.
