Lakeside, Calif. - Washington State golfers Chris Collins and Nick Grigsby finished their fall season out with a bang both finishing in the Barona Collegiate's top-15. Senior Chris Collins shot a 67 in the first round getting off to a great start and finishing in a tie for 10th place. Freshman Nick Grigsby made his move on day two with a third round 68 moving him out of a tie for 29th and into a four way tie at the 14th position.
The Cougars collectively finished the Barona Collegiate with sole possession of eighth place. With rounds of 283, 294, and 287 respectively the Cougars passed St. Mary's on day two. By passing St. Mary's on the tournament's final day the Cougars had finished higher than four teams that had come into San Diego ranked ahead of them(San Jose State, Utah, St. Mary's , and UC Davis).
Alabama-Birmingham was the team champion with a scored of 840, while UAB's Zack Sucher was the individual winner, winning a playoff with Nevada's Taylor Coffman. Both finished with 13-Under-Par 203's.
