Washington State Quotes:
Head Coach Ken Bone
On the outcome ...
"Very disappointing. I thought our kids played a good game all-and-all. But we definitely left on the court 45 minutes of great effort."

On the play tonight ...
"We did a lot of good things tonight, unfortunately we didn't execute some things at the end when we needed to."

On defending UCLA ...
" ...they are a load inside. Big, strong, active, athletic. It's hard for some of our guys physically to battle them. Even though our guys were trying as hard as they could."

On the game itself ...
"We had every chance to win it, against a very good team, but we didn't get the job done."

On Klay addressing the crowd before the game ...
"It's something he wanted to do. I and we as a team are proud of the fact that he said what he said to the crowd. I think it came from his heart."

On the players playing a lot of minutes affecting the outcome ...
"It could have been fatigue, no doubt about it. I kept some of those kids in longer than I thought I would. Like Faisal, I know it's hard for him to go 42 minutes, that's a long time to be out there against a team the caliber of UCLA ...if I had to do it again, maybe I would try to get them out a few more minutes, but then you're thinking 'ok, who do we put in?' It was not an easy night to substitute."

On UCLA executing their plays ...
"They executed well. They got the ball to the guys they wanted to, and usually it was right by the rim."

On the team ...
"I'm really proud of the guys that did play, and I'm proud of the guys on the bench that cheered on their teammates on. I thought it was a great team effort, unfortunately we got beat."

On if the ball would have been in Reggie's hands for the final play if he was in the game ...
"His or Klay's. We would try to get it into Klay's hands also. Klay's such a good scorer and free throw shooter... But definitely one of those two is usually who we put the ball in their hands."

On Ben Loewen playing as much as he did ...
"I'm real pleased with the fact that not only did he get a chance to play ...but I'm happy about the fact that he held his own ...He did a good job. He was very composed, he played with confidence, and I'm really proud of him. Ben showed tonight that maybe there were times earlier in the year that maybe he should have played."
