PULLMAN, Wash. - Washington State University and FSN Northwest announced today that an agreement has been reached to televise the Cougars' 2009 season-opening game against Stanford, WSU Director of Athletics Jim Sterk said.
The Stanford game had previously been announced as a 5 p.m. start, but moved to a 3 p.m. kick to accommodate the FSN Northwest telecast. The broadcast will also be available in HD. The Cougars' other announced television appearance for 2009 is against Notre Dame in San Antonio. That game will be televised by NBC and begin at 4:30 p.m. PT.
Both ABC and FSN will select additional games during the course of the 2009 season, with announcements made six or 12 days in advance of the games.
Season tickets, along with tickets for the Cougar Gridiron Classic presented by Washington's Beef Producers against Hawaii, are currently on sale. Tickets are available online at www.wsucougars.com or by phone at 1-800-GO-COUGS. Tickets to the Cougar Gridiron Classic are also available through all Ticketmaster outlets.
