THIS WEEK: After sweeping Texas and Stephen F. Austin on the road last weekend, the Washington State soccer team is back home...Cougars host Weber State, Friday, Sept. 25 in a 3 p.m. match at Lower Soccer Field...this is the final nonconference home match of the season for the Cougars.

COUGARS REGIONALLY RANKED: Washington State is tied for No. 4 with Arizona State in the current National Soccer Coaches Association of America Pacific Region rankings...Cougars are receiving votes in the NSCAA national poll as well as the Soccer Times national poll.
WSU NCAA RANKINGS: The Cougars are tied for 20th nationally in goals per game (2.88) entering the week...WSU is tied for 25th in shutout percentage (62.5) with five shutouts in eight matches...individually, senior Kiersten Dallstream is nationally ranked in goals per game (tied-sixth, 1.125) and in points per game (tied-eighth, 2.5).
ABOUT WEBER STATE: The Wildcats are 4-3-0, including 1-2-0 on the road...won their first-four matches of the season, including a 1-0 victory at then-No. 21 Utah, Sept. 2...have lost their last three...like the Cougars, Weber State has scored in every match this season...three Wildcats share the team lead with two goals and one of those, Jessie Badley, is tops on the team with seven points.
SERIES WITH THE WILDCATS: This will be the first meeting between the Cougars and Wildcats in women's soccer...Washington State is 19-6-2 all-time against current members of the Big Sky Conference...Cougars are 7-0-1 in their last eight matches against Big Sky teams (last loss 2004), 7-0-1 in their last eight home matches against a Big Sky opponent (last loss 2000), and 10-0-1 in their last 11 regular season home matches against a Big Sky foe (last loss 1998)...all-time records include 4-0-0 vs. Eastern Washington, 2-0-1 vs. Idaho State, 8-6-1 vs. Montana, 1-0-0 vs. Northern Colorado (not a Big Sky member at the time of the match), 3-0-0 vs. Portland State and 1-0-0 vs. Sacramento State.
