Graduated from Kamiakin High 2002...also lettered in basketball (3) and track (3)...earned four varsity letters for football coach Craig team captain senior season...SOPHOMORE season named to the All-Big Nine team at running back...second team and league MVP a JUNIOR re-peat all-league honoree as both a linebacker and running back and was co-MVP on defense...All-State selection...SENIOR year a Seattle Times All-State first team pick at linebacker...Seattle Times Red Chip prospect...named to the Associated Press All-State 4-A first team as a linebacker...Washington Prep Football Report All-State choice...the Braves were 7-4 overall and 6-3 in the Big Nine Conference...all-league first team running back and linebacker and league's co-player of the year...selected to participate in the East-West Shrine game...during three-year prep career made 249 tackles and had 26 sacks, seven interceptions and forced 28 fumbles...on offense gained 4,457 rushing yards and scored 61 touchdowns while averaging 6.0 ypc...also caught 42 passes for 592 was 25-7 in his three years.

RS-FRESHMAN (2003-04): V-letter...Games - 10...Starts - 2...earned the following weekly team awards: Assassin - Notre Dame/USC; Iron Man - Notre Dame/Oregon, Cougar Tackler - New Mexico, Special Teams Big Play - OSU. Special Teams: Punts...named to The Sporting News Pac-10 All-Freshman tackles, all solo, at Colorado, then six the next week against New Mexico when he played the second half for the injured Will Derting...also had one TFL and one fumble recovery against the Lobos...started at Stanford for Derting, making three tackles...also had a start against UCLA for Al Genatone, but suffered a knee strain early in the game and missed the final two regular season games...led the team with three fumble recoveries, including a return of 39 yards against Oregon tackle in the Holiday Bowl.

RS-SOPHOMORE (2004-05): V-letter...Games - 11...Starts - 11...earned the following weekly team awards: Cougar Claw Defense - New Mexico/Arizona; Pac-10 Defense - Colorado/Oregon/UCLA; Gamebreaker - USC. Special Teams: Punts, KO Returns...received All-Pacific-10 Conference honorable mention recognition...shared team's most valuable defensive player award with Will Derting...ranked 7th in the Pac-10 in tackles at 7.8/game, second in fumbles caused at 0.36/game and tied for 5th in fumbles recovered at 0.27/game...moved into starting role during spring practice...had a career high nine tackles against Colorado, including two TFLs...also had nine tackles at Arizona...the next week against Oregon he had a career best 11 tackles, shared in 3.5 TFLs, made one sack, forced a fumble and recovered a fumble...followed that performance with 11 tackles against Stanford, then 10 at Oregon State, six against USC and seven at final game, a win over Washington, made 10 tackles, had one sack and caused a fumble Derting recovered for a TD.

RS-JUNIOR (2005-06): V-Letter...Games - 11...Starts - 11...earned the following weekly team awards: Pac-10 Defensive POW nominee - California...Special Teams: Punt, Hands...Pacific-10 Conference honorable mention...recorded a career-equaling 11 tackles at California, including eight solo stops and one TFL...fifth among Cougar defenders with 66 tackles...also had six pass break-ups and five TFLs...made 21 stops during last three games...made eight tackles against both UCLA and Oregon and finished season with six solo stops in a WSU win at Washington...second among WSU defenders with six pass breakups and fourth in TFLs.
