Assistant Director, Ticket Services

Washington State University Department of Intercollegiate Athletics is accepting applications for the position of Assistant Director, Ticket Services (Program Support Supervisor 1). This position assists with overall management and leadership for the Athletics ticket office; including the main campus and regional campuses. Plan, administer and conduct specific aspects of the ticket office. Duties include overseeing the day to day operations of the ticket office; fiscal processing; customer service; and overseeing data management and the ticket system.

Minimum Qualifications: High school graduation or equivalent AND three years of applicable experience in the program specialty; OR equivalent education/experience. Three (3) years of experience coordinating ticket sales for events or comparable business operation. This position works various athletic events both during and outside of typical business hours as well as weekends, therefore the ability to work a flexible schedule is required.

Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or higher. One (1) year of supervisory or managerial experience. Previous experience working within an intercollegiate or professional Athletic Ticket Office. Strong computer background with working knowledge of ticket computer systems, Microsoft Word, Excel, and database management. Demonstrated experience working in positions that require customer service, leadership and strong communication skills. Work experience that demonstrates the ability to provide clear information on an impromptu basis to individuals or diverse groups of people. Demonstrated work experience that requires strong time management, fiscal accountability and organizational skills. Possess excellent report writing skills and have the ability to initiate and complete projects with specific deadlines. Work experience that demonstrates the ability to function professionally in highly stressful situations. Ability to obtain and maintain a valid, unrestricted driver’s license upon time of hire.

Assistant Ticket Office Manager

Washington State University Department of Intercollegiate Athletics is accepting applications for the position of Assistant Ticket Office Manager (Program Coordinator). This position is responsible for coordinating and administering various aspects of a multi-million dollar ticket sales operation in accordance with National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), Pac-12 Conference, Washington State University, and State of Washington bylaws, rules, regulations, and policies as approved by the Assistant Athletic Director, Ticket Sales and Service.

Minimum Qualifications: High school graduation or equivalent AND two (2) years of experience coordinating operations and/or sales for events OR equivalent education/experience. Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications: Bachelors degree. Experience within an athletic ticket office. Working knowledge of Paciolan computer software. Proficiency using Microsoft Word and Excel. Experience coordinating game day event sales operations and supervision of sales staff. Experience in conjunction with a major university athletic foundation with an emphasis on priority seating and ticket-based donations. Experience managing sales of tickets for postseason events.

Food Service Worker Lead

Washington State University Department of Intercollegiate Athletics is accepting applications for the position of Food Service Worker Lead, Gray W Legends Lounge. Under direct supervision of the Food Service Associate Manager, provide top quality customer service, cleanliness and sanitation in front of house and assists cooks and/or leads employees in preparation of all food as indicated on menus and production recipes for assigned meals. Maintain safety, sanitation, and quality control standards. Provide training and leadership to employees in performing all of the related tasks in customer service, sanitation and cleanliness. Cooperate in contributing to a positive and harmonious work environment. Lead and direct Food Service Workers with point of entry computer.

Minimum Qualifications: Possession of, or eligible for, a food handler’s permit AND one year of experience in quantity or institutional food preparation AND serving, which includes six months experience directing the work of others; OR equivalent education/experience. Possession of, or ability to obtain within 14 days of employment, a Food Handler’s Permit.

Preferred Qualifications: Possession of, or ability to obtain by time of hire, a valid Driver’s License. Two to five years of food service experience. Multi-faceted food experience. Experience leading and training employees. General knowledge of commercial grade kitchen equipment use, safety, and maintenance.
