JUNIOR (1998-99): Indoor - Ran an NCAA PQ and personal-best time of 2:08.18i for second place in the 800m at the Vandal Indoor (2/12/99, Moscow)...won the 800m race at the MPSF Championships in a time of 2:12.24i (2/20//99, Reno)...ran a 2:09.04 in the preliminaries at the NCAA Indoor Championships but did not advance to the finals...Outdoor - Tallied three first places finishes in the 800m...fastest time of season was 2:07.61 which was fifth at the Cardinal Invite (5/7/99, Stanford)...did not place at Pac-10 Championships...

SOPHOMORE (1997-98): Indoor - Ran personal-best time of 2:10.38i as she captured the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation 800m title...also ran first leg of school-record setting distance medley relay team that clocked in at 12:10.69 (2/7/98, Moscow)...Outdoor - Clocked 800m in 2:07.32 for third place at the Pac-10 Championships (5/24/98, Stanford) and an NCAA provisional qualifying mark...ran best 1500m time of 4:40.68 for first, and 400m pr of 56.87 for second at Pelleur Invite race (4/24/98, Cheney)...also ran as third leg of 1600m relay squad...

FRESHMAN (1996-97): Indoor - Claimed an 800m first place finish with a personal best time of 2:14.62i at the Idaho Scoring Meet (2/8/97, Moscow)...placed second at the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Indoor Championships with a pr of 2:12.40i (2/22/97, Reno)...Outdoor - Lowered pr time in first three 800m races of outdoor season including second-place finish in Oregon dual meet with 2:10.85 time (4/5/97, Pullman), sixth best in WSU records...won only 1500m race of season with pr of 4:41.03 at Cougar Invitational (3/29/97, Pullman)...placed second in Pac-10 800m prelims with 2:08.02 pr (5/24/97, Seattle)...ran 2:10.70 for seventh in conference meet finals (5/25/97, Seattle).

HIGH SCHOOL CAREER: Earned three letters in cross country at Battle Ground High with coach Sheryl Pipper and four letters in track for coach Dennis Birley...also tallied three years of cheerleading with two a FRESHMAN, ran on the school's 1600m relay team at the state meet...SOPHOMORE year ran in the state cross country meet...voted Most Valuable Runner on track team...JUNIOR year took second in state in 800m race with a school record time of 2:14.75...the Tigers were undefeated in league...won MVP honors again in track...during SENIOR year, won the Oregon Raineer Invitational cross country fourth in the district race...won coaches award during the spring won the Centennial Invitational 800m race in a school record 2:13.8...awarded third track MVP honor.

PERSONAL: Born 5/15/78 in Portland, Ore...mother, Cheri Beck is an environmentalist...younger sister Heather (11/5/79)...served as senior class president...was a peer tutor for handicapped children...graduated with academic honors...majoring in Spanish at WSU.
