SUNRIVER, Ore. - Junior Ana Kostina is tied for 8th place after the first of three rounds at the NCAA Women's Fall Preview, Monday.

Kostina fired a 69 (-2), and is the bright spot of a Cougar team that struggled through the first round of play at the fall season's biggest tournament.

The Cougars are in 18th place as a team. The 21-team field includes 17 teams ranked in the Golfweek preseason top-30.

Stephanie Parsley shot 77 (+6), Kim Welch shot 78 (+7), Maria Kostina shot 80 (+9), and Jay-Lee Longbottom shot 82 (+11), to round out the scoring for the Cougars.

Monday's first round was set back 45 minutes due to a frost delay. The second round is slated to begin at 8:00 a.m., Tuesday.
