PULLMAN, Wash. - The Pacific-10 Conference Directors of Athletics have unanimously approved amendments to the 2010 football schedule, one of which involves this year's Cougar football game against California. That game has been moved ahead two weeks to Nov. 6, 2010.
The game was originally scheduled for Nov. 20, 2010 in Pullman, the weekend prior to Thanksgiving Break at Washington State University. Moving the game two weeks earlier, to a date both universities previously had open, allows greater opportunity for Cougar fans and students to be in attendance.
"Washington State is pleased to accommodate this schedule revision," said WSU incoming Director of Athletics Bill Moos. "By moving this game ahead two weeks more students are able to attend the game and fans from throughout the state will have better traveling conditions. Additionally, the move gives us a two-week break heading into the Apple Cup, allowing our football student-athletes to spend Thanksgiving with family, take a few days break from football to rest mentally and physically, yet still have more than a week to prepare for the Apple Cup."
The Cougars begin their spring practice March 25. For season ticket information call 1-800 GO-COUGS.
