PULLMAN, Wash. - Washington State's Keisha Moore nearly had a double-double with nine points and eight rebounds in the Cougars' 62-47 loss to the Oregon Ducks in Pacific-10 Conference women's basketball action, Thursday at Friel Court.
Oregon's Brandi Davis led all scorers with 19 points while Catherine Kraayeveld had 11 rebounds and nine points for the Ducks.
The Cougars held an 11-10 lead with 13:27 remaining in the first half when the Ducks went on a 16-5 run to take a 26-16 advantage with 5:40 left. Oregon went into the break with a 36-28 advantage.
The Ducks extended their eight-point halftime lead to 13 at 43-30 nearly four minutes into the second half.
WSU used a 9-3 run to pull within seven at 46-39 with 10:24 left but Oregon scored five consecutive points to re-establish its double-digit lead. Oregon's advantage would not fall below nine points the rest of the way.
For the game WSU shot 16-of-58 (27.6 percent) including 0-14 from 3-point territory. Conversely, Oregon was 24-of-55 from the field including 15-of-28 (53.6 percent) in the first half.
WSU plays its final home game of the season against Oregon State, Saturday, Feb. 12 for a 2 p.m. tip-off at Friel Court.
