STANFORD, Calif. - Kim Welch moved up 15 spots from yesterday for a tie at 28th in the 2002 Pepsi Invitational at the Par 72, 6,218 yard Stanford Golf Course at Stanford, Calif.

Welch carded a 2-over 74, improving her stroke total by five, and putting her just one shot back of another top 25 finish this fall. Welch has a chance tomorrow to finish out the fall season with a Top 25 finish in every tournament competed in by the Cougars.

WSU improved its scoring as a team by four strokes over Friday's total, and head's into tomorrow's final round in 16th place, ahead of Pac-10 rival Oregon. The University of Washington leads the tournament, and Erica Blasberg of Arizona is tops on the leader board at 2-under, with one round to play.

Stephanie Parsley improved her stroke total by five and sits in a tie for 44th. Jay-Lee Longbottom is in a tie for 76th, followed by Donna Bell in a tie at 79th, and Ashleigh Gilhuly in a tie for 87th.
