NATION'S BIGGEST TURNAROUNDS
With two more victories already in 2008-09 than in all of last season, the Cougars rank tied for 10th nationally amongst teams making the greatest turnarounds this season.
FROSH ONE-TWO PUNCH
Cougar freshmen Jazmine Perkins and April Cook each currently rank in the top 10 in scoring average in the Pacific-10 Conference, the highest-scoring freshmen in the league and the only freshmen ranked in the top 10. Perkins' 14.6 points per game currently ranks tied for fourth on the list, while Cook's 13.7 ppg ranks seventh.
The Cougars are looking for their second consecutive victory over Oregon State after knocking off the Beavers 56-52 last year in Pullman (Feb. 15, 2008). The win marked Head Coach June Daugherty's first conference victory with WSU.
WINNING THE TURNOVER BATTLE
The Cougars currently rank first in the Pac-10 in turnover margin at +4.6. The mark also ranks 34th in the nation.
The Cougars have added two televised games to the 2008-09 schedule. WSU's home games against USC (Feb. 20) and Washington (March 6) will each be televised by FSN Northwest. Both games will tip-off at 7 p.m.
