Men's and Women's Assistant Golf Coach

Twenty-nine-year-old Tom McCurdy joined the Cougar coaching staff in March 1999. In addition to his duties as assistant coach, the Tekoa, Wash. native is the head professional at the WSU Golf Course.

McCurdy is currently in the PGA Apprentice program and spends much of his time giving golf lessons. He graduated from Eastern Washington University in 1994 with a B.A. in Education. Following graduation from EWU, he worked as an assistant golf pro at the La Quinta Country Club in La Quinta, Calif. McCurdy has also served as a teaching professional at the Sandpines Golf Resort in Florence, Ore., and at the Downriver Golf Course in Spokane. McCurdy's collegiate coaching career began at Eastern Washington, where he was an assistant from 1997 to 1998.
