THIS WEEK: The Cougars will get a taste of tennis in Virginia. The team will face Radford Friday, Feb. 13 and Virginia Tech Valentine's Day clash Feb. 14.

HART ON THIS WEEKEND: "Our last week and a half of practice has been very strong. I'm really proud of every single player's effort," Head Coach Lisa Hart said. "Our focus this weekend is going to be on executing strategy and fighting for every single point."

UP NEXT: The Cougars will square-off against No. 42 Oregon in Lewiston Feb. 20.

LAST TIME OUT: Senior Lorena Arias defeated Sophia Holden, 6-3, 7-6(8) and went on with partner Chris Martinez to capture a doubles win over Hadley MacFarlene/Barbora Zahnova, 8-6. Nora Gaal also knocked off her singles opponent MacFarlene, 6-4, 6-3 in the No. 5 singles slot. Despite the success of Arias and Gaal the Cougars, ranked 51, lost to No. 45 Brigham Young, 5-2.

COUGARS IN THE RANKINGS: The WSU Cougars finished last season at No. 51 in the ITA rankings...Orsolya Sallai is ranked No. 20 in singles in the Northwest Region...senior Arias is No. 30 in the Northwest Region...Arias and junior Chris Martinez are ranked No. 9 regionally in doubles.
