PULLMAN, Wash. - The Washington State swimming team ranked 15th nationally in team grade point average for the spring semester according to the College Swim Coaches Association of America.

It is the sixth straight appearances in the poll for the Cougars, who posted a 3.296 GPA in the spring semester. It is also the third straight year WSU has been ranked number one in the Pacific-10 Conference.

"It's important that WSU swimming maintains our academic excellence," head coach Rocco Aceto said. "I believe student-athletes will do well in the pool if they are successful in the classroom."

The Cougar swimming team as posted the best GPA among WSU athletic teams for five consecutive semesters.
