PULLMAN, Wash. --- Washington State tight end Cody Boyd and wide receiver Chris Jordan received honorable mention on Rivals.com Freshman All-American team Wednesday.

Boyd and Jordan were two of 62 true and redshirt freshmen from around the nation named to the team. Both players redshirted the 2002 season at WSU.

Boyd hauled in 18 passes for 230 yards and a touchdown in 2003. The 6-8, 240-pound Boyd also blocked two field goal attempts in WSU's season-opening, 25-0 win over Idaho. Minnesota's Matt Spaeth garnered the first team nod, while Purdue's Garret Bushong also received honorable mention.

Jordan also had a productive rookie season for the Cougars, catching 28 passes for 341 yards and two touchdowns. The Kent, Wash., native's best outing came at Stanford, where he brought in five passes for 97 yards and both of his scores on the year. Kansas' Charles Gordon and Miami's Ryan Moore came away with first team honors at wide receiver.
