What's Happening This Week: The Washington State women's golf team will travel to Eugene, Ore., to play in the Pacific-10 Conference Championships hosted by Oregon April 19-21, at the Eugene Country Club. The 10-team field will play 18 holes each day of the tournament, with tee times starting at 8:30 a.m., Monday.
The Course: Eugene Country Club, a par 72, will play at 6,203 yards for the event.
The Field: The 10-school field has eight teams ranked in the top 50 according to Golfstat including Arizona (7), Arizona State (2), California (24), Stanford (14), Oregon (34), UCLA (1), USC (5) and Washington (38). Also competing are Oregon State and Washington State.
Last Time Out: The Couagrs finished 17th last weekend at the Ping ASU Invitational posting a 933 (+69) in a strong field with 16 teams ranked in the top 50 by Golfstat. The team was led by freshman Emma Betland for the third time this spring. She carded a three-round total of 230 (+14) with a low of 75 (+30) in the second round. Fellow freshman Ali Thompson finished right behind her teammate with a tournament total of 232 (+16), carding the lowest individual round for the Cougars with a 74 (+2) the second day.
