THIS WEEK: The No. 75 Cougars head to the Golden State to face three ranked opponents...Thursday the Cougars will play No. 75 Santa Clara Broncos at 3:30 p.m....Friday WSU will take on the No. 1 Stanford Cardinal match time is set for 1:30 p.m....Saturday the Cougars will round out the weekend by squaring off against the No. 17 California Bears...the Cougars and Broncos are tied with two other teams in the No. 75 slot of the Intercollegiate Tennis Association rankings.

WSU HEAD COACH Lisa Hart ON THIS WEEKEND: "We are looking forward to playing three nationally ranked opponents at the end of this week. Stanford and Cal will be our first Pac-10 matches of our season and we are excited to see how we compare."

COUGARS CLIMB ALL-TIME LIST: Senior Nora Gaal moved herself up yet another spot last week to tie herself for seventh place this on the all-time career singles victories list with 64...fellow senior Chris Martinez shares the eighth spot with Tunde Nagy, who was a Cougar from 1995-98...Martinez and Nagy each have 63 triumphs.

TOUGH COMPETITION: The Cougars have faced five ranked opponents out of the seven teams they have faced in dual match play.

LAST TIME OUT: The Cougars faced the No. 25 Oregon Ducks and lost 6-1...the lone win for the Cougars came from senior Nora Gaal who put down Jamie Marshall in the No. 5 position, 6-3, 2-6, 1-3 (ret.)...the match was not a Pac-10 match...the Cougars will face the Ducks in their Pac-10 match April 17 here in Pullman.

UP NEXT: The Cougars will host a doubleheader Saturday, Feb. 26 in Lewison, Idaho against the Montana Grizzlies at noon and the Lewis-Clark State Warriors at 6 p.m.
