SKILLMAN, N.J. - Washington State University women's tennis coach Lisa Hart has been named the regional winner of the United States Tennis Association and Intercollegiate Tennis Association Sectional Campus and Outreach Award for the Pacific Northwest Section.

The USTA/ITA Sectional Campus and Community Outreach Award honors an ITA coach for significant contributions in developing community-based tennis programs through community centers, schools, parks, community tennis associations, inner city, suburban or rural programs. The award honors an ITA coach who has done an outstanding job implementing the USTA's Tennis On Campus program or similar recreational tennis programs on campus in an effort to grow tennis participation within the campus community.

Hart is in her ninth season as the women's tennis coach at Washington State University. She was selected as the regional winner of the 2004, 2005 and 2007 Community Service Award by the USTA/ITA.

In December 2008, Hart was named the national winner of the USTA/ITA Community Outreach Award and was honored by the ITA at its national coaches convention in Naples, Fla.
