FIRST GLANCE
The Washington State women's basketball team continues its first run through the Pacific-10 Conference, taking on No. 2/2 Stanford Thursday (Jan. 14) in Stanford, Calif. Tip-off between the Cougars and Cardinal is slated for 7 p.m. at Maples Pavilion.

The Cougars (5-10, 0-4) will be looking for their first conference victory of 2009-10, while the Cardinal (13-1, 3-0) has yet to lose a conference game.

LISTEN/WATCH
Fans can listen to the game live on KQQQ 1150 AM and on translator 105.3 FM in Pullman/Moscow, or at wsucougars.com. Steve Grubbs has the call live from Stanford.

DAUGHERTY REACHES 600
WSU's meeting against Oregon (Jan. 3) was the 600th game of June Daugherty's head coaching career. Daugherty, in her third year at WSU, also spent 11 years at Washington (1996-2007) and seven years at Boise State (1989-96). Her record through 600 career games is 335-265 (.558).

FROSH PHENOM
Freshman guard KiKi Moore leads the Pacific-10 Conference and ranks ninth nationally in steals (3.3). She also ranks tied for fourth in the league in assists (3.6), and 13th in scoring (13.5).

CENTER OF ATTENTION
Freshman center Carly Noyes already has nine multiple-block games - including each of the last six - in her debut season. She recorded four blocks against Oregon, tying WSU's freshman NCAA single-game record. Her block average (1.9) ranks second in the Pac-10, and her season total (27) is already the second-most by a Cougar freshman in NCAA history.

THE SERIES
The Cougars will be looking for their first victory in 49 meetings with the Cardinal, having lost each of the previous 48. WSU is 0-24 when playing in Stanford, Calif.

FORCING TURNOVERS
The Cougars lead the conference and rank 18th-nationally in turnover margin, forcing 5.73 more turnovers per game than committing.
