COUGARS TRAIN AT HOME
This weekend is a break in the competitive schedule for the Washington State University track and field teams...this time away from the competition allows the WSU student-athletes to train at home while keeping up with academic requirements as the spring semester comes to a close...finals week for WSU is April 30-May 4 with graduation May 5...Cougars' next competition will be April 21, at the Cougar Invitational meet at Mooberry Track...the following week will be the WSU-Washington Dual meet, to be held in Pullman...schedules for both upcoming home meets are at www.wsucougars.com.

ABOUT THE COUGAR COACHES
Head coach Rick Sloan is in his 39th season with the Cougar track program; 18th year as a head coach, 17th year as mentor to the combined men's and women's program...Sloan (decathlon/heptathlon) is joined by associate coach Debra Farwell (throws), head coach for cross country Pete Julian (distance), and assistant coaches Mark Macdonald (hurdles/relays), Ellannee Richardson (sprints/relays) and Matt McGee (jumps)...volunteer coaches include Jeshua Anderson, Tim Riley and Wes McCann.

NCAA DESCENDING ORDER LISTS
The NCAA has automatic qualifying standards for Indoor competition that can be found on the 2012 Outdoor Bests Lists posted on the WSU website (www.wsucougars.com)...national descending order lists can be viewed at the United States Track & Field/Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Track & Field Results Reporting System website (www.tfrrs.org).

COUGAR INVITATIONAL MEET APRIL 21
The 12th Annual Cougar Invitational outdoor track and field meet is set for Saturday, April 21, at the Mooberry Track Complex...field events begin at 10 a.m. and running events are set to start at 1:15 p.m...admission is free and concessions are available...free parking is available at the Beasley Coliseum Yellow 1 lot...competitors from Washington State, Idaho and Spokane CC will compete along with others from around the Northwest...entry standards and meet schedule are posted on the WSU website, www.wsucougars.com on the Track page sidebar...entries are only through Direct Athletics...results will be posted online at the completion of the meet.

WSU VERSUS WASHINGTON DUAL MEET APRIL 28
Track and field teams from Washington State University and University of Washington will meet in their nearly annual dual meet Saturday, April 28, at Mooberry Track in Pullman...this will be the 37th meeting for women and the 97th or 101st meeting between the men's teams (each school has conflicting records)...scoring is 5-3-1 for individual events and 5-0 for relays...events begin at 11 a.m. and the final event is scheduled for 4:15 p.m...admission is free of charge.
