IT'S CHAMPIONSHIP TIME FOR TRACK & FIELD
The Pacific-10 Conference Track & Field Combined Events Championships are Friday and Saturday, May 6 & 7, in Tucson...Washington State will be represented by Sean Harris in the decathlon, and Angela Jensen and Shaquana Logan in the heptathlon...due to the heat in Tucson, events will get underway at Roy P. Drachman Stadium in the late afternoon and evening hours...LIVE results can be found online at www.arizonawildcats.com/sports/m-track/2011-pac-10-outdoor.html...complete results will be posted at www.wsucougars.com at the completion of the meet...Pac-10 Championships individual events and relays will take place the following weekend, May 13 & 14, in Tucson.

DECATHLON - Sean Harris, Redshirt sophomore, Kent, Washington
Lifetime-best 6,641 points (at Jim Click Shootout Multis, Tucson 4/1/11)

ABOUT THE COUGAR COACHES
Head coach Rick Sloan is in his 38th season with the Cougar track program; 17th year as a head coach, 16th year as mentor to the combined men's and women's program...Sloan (decathlon/heptathlon) is joined by associate coach Debra Farwell (throws), head coach for cross country Pete Julian (distance), and assistant coaches Mark Macdonald (hurdles/relays), Ellannee Richardson (sprints/relays) and Matt McGee (jumps)...volunteer coaches include Bob Frey, Brett Josephson, Anthony Luna, Tim Riley, and Rob Williams.
