PULLMAN, Wash. - The Washington State women's basketball team will host Lewis-Clark State College for the team's only exhibition game, Sunday, Nov. 7 at 1 p.m. at Beasley Coliseum. Admission is free.
In addition to Sunday's exhibition, the program invites the public to watch the team practice at Beasley from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. leading up to the Cougar football game vs. California at Martin Stadium, which kicks off at 1 p.m. Fans may enter at the tunnel entrance and watch from the upper bowl section of the Coliseum.
Entering her fourth season with the Cougars, Head Coach June Daugherty's team features nine returning student-athletes and five newcomers to the program.
In addition to a Pac-10 schedule that features 2010 national runner-up Stanford, 2010 WNIT champion California, NCAA participant UCLA, and in-state rival Washington, the Cougars non-conference slate opens with Nebraska, one of four No. 1 seeds in the 2010 NCAA Tournament last year. The Nebraska game marks the 2010-11 home opener for the Cougars, Monday, Nov.22 at 7 p.m. The Cougars open the 2010-11 season at St. Mary's, Friday, Nov. 12.
