Final Stats

EUGENE, Ore. - The Washington State women's basketball team dropped a 64-45 contest to Oregon at McArthur Court, Thursday, falling to 3-14 on the season and 0-6 in the Pacific-10 Conference. The Ducks improved to 9-8 overall and 3-3 in league play.

"I thought our execution was right on. We got every shot we wanted against Oregon's defense tonight," WSU Head Coach June Daugherty said. "Unfortunately we didn't convert and we didn't pull down many offensive boards."

The Cougars were outrebounded 46-32, with 17 of Oregon's rebounds coming on the offensive end. WSU opened the second half down by nine points (32-23), but a 14-5 run by the Ducks put the game out of reach.

Sophomore guard Alexa Price led the Cougars in scoring for the third time this season, posting 11 points against the Ducks. Freshman forward Katie Calderwood led the Cougars with seven rebounds, tying her season high.

The Cougars, third in the conference in 3-point field goal percentage (.334), hit just 7-of-25 (28.0-percent) attempts from the 3-point line against Oregon. However, the Cougar defense also stepped upheld the Ducks to just 14.3-percent from beyond the arc (3-of-21).

WSU continues its road trip in the Beaver state, travelling to Corvallis to take on Oregon State. Tip-off against the Beavers is scheduled for 7 p.m. at Gill Coliseum.
