PULLMAN, Wash. - Washington State University, the University of Washington and FSN announced today an agreement has been reached to televise the Apple Cup between Washington State University and the University of Washington, Nov. 24 from Husky Stadium. Game time for the Apple Cup has been set for 4 p.m.
The Cougars will be making their 10th television appearance this season when they visit the Huskies, and eighth broadcast airing regionally or nationally on FSN. The 10 television appearances in a season are the most ever by a Cougar football team.
Every Tuesday this football season, FSN is bringing back the greatest Apple Cup games in recent history on FSN Classics: Apple Cup Tuesdays. Fans currently have the opportunity to vote on which Apple Cup games they would like to see in the final days leading up to the Apple Cup. FSN will broadcast the top three games voted on by fans that log on to either WSUCougars.com or GoHuskies.com and visit the 2007 Apple Cup Central page.
As a result of the Apple Cup announcement, the time for WSU's basketball game that day at the Cougar Hispanic College Fund Classic in Spokane has been set. The Cougars will host Mississippi Valley State at noon with the Air Force/Montana contest to follow at 2:30 p.m. The Cougar Hispanic College Fund Classic runs Nov. 23-25 at the Spokane Arena.
