PULLMAN, Wash. - Thursday's NCAA Men's Basketball Championship first round game between Washington State University and Oral Roberts has been moved up 10 minutes and is now scheduled to begin at 11:30 a.m., Pacific, it was announced today by the NCAA.

The game was originally scheduled for an 11:40 a.m. tip but Wednesday morning the change was made to move it up 10 minutes. The game will be televised on CBS.

The Cougars enter the NCAA Championship as the No. 3 seed in the East Region and face the No. 14 seed Oral Roberts. Thursday's game marks the first appearance for Washington State at the NCAA Championship since the 1994 season.

The Cougar head in to the tournament with a 25-7 record. The 25 wins matches the total from the 1917 national championship team (25-1) and is just one shy from the school record total by the 1941 team that finished as national runner-up (26-6).

This will mark the Cougars' fifth trip to the NCAA Tournament. The program's four previous trips occurred in 1941, 1980, 1983 and 1994.

Yesterday, during the bus trip en route to Lewiston, where the team and travel party boarded a chartered plane for the flight to Sacramento, the Cougars were greeted by cheering fans who lined Pullman's main street, as well as at the town of Colton, approximately 10 miles south of Pullman.

Today, the team prepared for tomorrow's first round game against Oral Roberts. The Cougars practiced at a local high school before making their way to Arco Arena, site of the first and second round games.

Upon arrival at the arena, Coach Tony Bennett and the players fulfilled their media obligations and then, amid the chants of "Go Cougs" from the Cougar Faithful in the building, conducted an open practice session on the court.
