Cougar Women Ready for Las Vegas Collegiate Showdown

PULLMAN, Wash. -

On Tap This Week: The Washington State University women's golf team will compete at the Las Vegas Collegiate Showdown, hosted by the University of Nevada Las Vegas, Oct. 25-27. The teams will play 18 holes each day Monday through Wednesday.

The Course: The Boulder Creek Golf Club; Boulder City, Nev., will play at 6,329 yards and a par 72 for the tournament.

The Field: Joining the Cougars in the 17-school field will be Arizona (11), Arkansas (15), Kent State (25), Oregon (30), Louisville (35), UNLV (36), Washington (38), San Diego State (40), Minnesota (45), Colorado State, East Carolina, Idaho, Missouri, New Mexico, San Jose State, UC Irvine. (Top 50 rankings).

Representing WSU: Playing for the Cougars will be senior Allison Travis, junior Kristen Allard, sophomores Emma Betland and Ali Thompson and freshman Mallory Kent. Sophomore Ellen Park will compete as an individual.
