We have been busily unpacking our last few boxes as we have officially moved into our new home in Pullman. This is a very exciting time for the Daugherty family.
I feel great! I have taken on the challenge of climbing Pullman's beautiful hills during my daily walks. It is a great workout and I have met some awesome people. It is also helping me familiarize myself with our great city.
I have had many people inquire about my health since my episode in May. As I said, I feel great and I continue to get stronger everyday. I am working and working at the office daily. I cannot even begin to tell you just how much support from you and so many have meant to me and my family. The outpouring of well wishes and prayers has been overwhelming. Thank you!
As you can imagine, this is a very busy time in basketball and much of our staff is on the road viewing games of potential recruits. We are excited to see the interest that many of these young players (from the East and West coasts and internationally) have in WSU. Several top prospects have visited Pullman and seem impressed with our campus, safe city, and athletic facilities.
Our new basketball family has some truly awesome individuals and I hope you will have the opportunity to meet Mike, Mo, Brian, Kate and Linda in the near future. I am privileged to work alongside of them. When we are off the road, we are busy with the challenge of working toward our goal of becoming a championship team.
As you can see, this is truly a very exciting time. The New Championships Era in WSU Women's Basketball is up and running full-speed!
