CORVALLIS, ORE. - The Washington State University women's golf team finished in ninth place at Northwest Invitational at Trysting Tree Golf Course, hosted by Oregon State.

Sophomore Jennifer Dodd led the Cougar women and ended with a 233 on her scorecard and tied for 30th place. Senior Stefanie Coleman was second for the Cougars with a tie for 40th place.

The University of Washington captured the tournament title, while Oregon State was only five strokes behind with a third place finish. Pepperdine's Tamie Durdin took top individual honors when she made par on the 10th hole (par 4) to win the playoff with Washington's Kelli Kamimura.

The Cougars will head to California Oct. 24-25 to participate in the Stanford Invitational hosted by Stanford.
