-- Louis Rankin's 89-yard kickoff return to open the game was the first opponent kickoff return for a touchdown since Montana State's Bryan Molen (93 yards) at Washington State, Oct. 18, 2001.

-- Junior transfer Devin Frischknecht's 41-yard touchdown with 1:04 left in the first quarter was the longest reception of his career...finished with five receptions, 88 yards and two touchdowns, all career-best marks.

-- Senior Alex Brink tossed five touchdown passes to move past USC's Carson Palmer and Stanford's Steve Stenstrom for fifth place on the Pacific-10 Conference career list with 76...only Cougar to have three career games with five touchdown passes.

-- Senior Alex Brink threw for 399 yards and tied Ryan Leaf's school record of 12 games with 300 or more passing yards...moved past USC's Matt Leinart, UCLA's Cade McNown, and Stanford's Steve Stenstrom into third place on the Pacific-10 Conference's all-time list for passing with 10,913 yards.

-- Senior Alex Brink 40-yard touchdown pass to junior Brandon Gibson in the fourth quarter capped a drive that consumed 51 seconds, the Cougars' shortest drive for six points in an Apple Cup since 2001 (12 seconds, second quarter).

-- Senior Kevin McCall's 47-yard reception in the second quarter was the longest of his career...finished with a career-high 51 yards on two receptions.

-- Sophomore Chris Ivory's 25-yard touchdown carry in the second quarter was his longest scoring run of the season...finished with a career-high 114 yards on 14 carries.

-- Senior Charles Dillon's returned two kickoffs for 38 yards and raised his season total to 859, ninth-best at WSU.

-- Freshman Jeshua Anderson's touchdown in the third quarter was his second receiving score of the season, both in Seattle...hauled in a 39-yard touchdown during win over San Diego State at Qwest Field.

-- Sophomore Andy Mattingly recorded eight tackles, a forced fumble (fourth this season), his first-career interception, and three pass break ups.

    -- The last three times Washington State has recorded a come-from-behind win in the fourth quarter, it has happened in Seattle.
  • 2007 Apple Cup (Alex Brnk 35-yard touchdown pass to Brandon Gibson with 31 seconds left for 42-35 win).
  • 2006 vs. Baylor at Qwest Field (Loren Langley 17-yard field goal with nine seconds left for 17-15 victory).
  • 2005 Apple Cup (Alex Brink 39-yard pass to Trandon Harvey with 1:20 remaining for 26-22 win).

-- The Cougars have won 10 of their last 11 games when leading at halftime dating back to the 2005 Apple Cup.
