Women's Golf Wrap Up Fall Season at Challenge at Onion Creek

This Week: The WSU women's golf team will close out its fall season in Austin, Tex. at the Challenge at Onion Creek. The tournament will be at the Onion Creek Golf Club hosted by Texas State University. Thirty-six holes will be played Monday, with the first round beginning at 8:30 a.m. The third round will played Tuesday, also beginning at 8:30 a.m. Live scoring will be available at

The Course: The Onion Creek Country Club is a Par 70 course at a distance of 5,944 yards.

The Field (Golfstat Rankings): Joining WSU on the course are Arkansas-Little Rock (84), Augusta State (53), College of Charleston (91), Columbia (144), East Carolina (47), Indiana (85), McNeese State (180), Michigan (51), Montana (129), Texas State (55), Texas Tech (24), UTSA (81), Xavier (115).

Last Time Out: The Cougars competed at the Mercedes-Benz SEC/Pac-12 Challenge in Knoxville, Tenn. Oct. 21-23. The Cougars finished in 22nd place with a total score of 928 (+64). Sophomore Mallory Kent led WSU with a 226 (+10) and a tie for 53rd place.

Next Up: The women's golf team will return to action Feb. 5-7 at the Arizona Wildcat Invitational in Oro Valley, Ariz.
