WSU Head Coach Bill Doba
On the game...

"That one hurt. That hurt a lot. I would never have guessed that in a million years. I thought it would be a real close ball game. I didn't know if we could score 17 points, but I didn't think they'd score 50. "

"We didn't play well on their first drive defensively. We had a couple third down assignment errors that could have got us off the field. And then we just had too many turnovers. We just had short fields all night. I thought the kids battled back then and fought their tails off for a while and then just kind of got overwhelmed. Then we score, we're three touchdowns back, and then they go right down and score again. That was the disappointing part."

On the seniors...
"It's tough on them. The comments made on the sideline, and even at halftime. They weren't going to quit. They didn't want to go out that way. I heard (Chris) Baltzer making a couple pleas to 'Let's get it done', but it takes more than that. I feel bad for them, but they've got one left. It'll be a lot warmer this winter with a win against the Huskies."

WSU Quarterback Alex Brink
On the game...

"This is a bad feeling right now. It's frustrating on a lot of levels. It's frustrating mostly for our team because we had such a great opportunity coming into these last two games and this one was definitely a nightmare."

WSU Safety Husain Abdullah
On Oregon State's offense...

"We knew they ran bend and that they ran that reverse. We were just getting hung up on blocks. They executed better than us."

"(Oregon State's) quarterback played well. They ran a lot, they ran a lot, and then we tried to cheat up to stop the run and then they hit us over the top."

WSU Wide Receiver Michael Bumpus
On preparing for the game...

"I felt like we had a pretty good week of practice. We came out and we seemed pretty focused...Today just came down to mistakes and we made more than Oregon State did today."

On the offensive mistakes...
"You know fumbles are going to happen in a game. You know turnovers are going to happen in a game. The offense just had a couple turnovers down in our own 20 or 30 (yard line), which gave OSU pretty good field position and put our defense's backs against the wall. For the most part, being in the position they were in, I feel like they did pretty well."

WSU Linebacker Cory Evans
On the defense...

"We knew what they were doing; we just made some small mistakes, some small errors. We didn't wrap up and sometimes we got a little out of control on gap control, but they're mistakes, you've got to learn how to bounce back. You can't think about what happened, you've got to keep going."

OSU Head Coach Mike Riley
On WSU turnovers and the victory...

"I am really, really proud of our team and our coaches. It is always tough to play these guys and our team was ready to play and well prepared. We played with preparation and tenacity. The combination of the two was very evident."

"We just got after them defensively. I think our pressure was good and guys were opportunistic. We capitalized most of the time offensively. I thought Lyle had some big plays, particularly on the first drive, the first third and long. He hit the corner route and I thought it was a lot of good football. I was really, really proud of them."

On the play of QB Lyle Moevao...
"I thought he made some tough throws; big-time throws. Just when it appeared he would score or do something I think the defense stuck one in there and gave us either good field position or another scoring opportunity."

On WSU QB Alex Brink...
"He is one of the all-time career leaders in the Pac-10 conference, which there had been a lot of great quarterbacks in this league. I have seen him grow as a quarterback. I think it was our night and he had a lot of pressure on him and our kids were playing very well. But he has had a tremendous career and we all know him because he is from right down the road. I am very proud of what he has done; just glad he didn't do it tonight."

OSU Linebacker Joey LaRocque
On the victory...

"The whole team feels pretty good right now. Each player and position executed and we came away with a pretty big victory. It was a lot of fun out there that's for sure."

On WSU turnovers...
"We were kind of in the right place at the right time. We got some pressure on the quarterback. Lot of good coverage behind us and the plays were made. That is what football is all about. We had a great time and made some things happen tonight; it was a great day for us."

OSU Quarterback Lyle Moevao
On his team's play...

"One thing coach is always talking about is going week by week, never looking back and never looking forward. The main thing for us was to go out there and play a complete game. There are some things we still have to work with and there are corrections to make."

OSU Guard Roy Schuening
On the offensive line...

"When the offensive line comes to play, we can dominate anything. Our defense played outstanding. They put up some great field positions and it worked out great for us."
