Final Score: WSU 75, EWU 49
Washington State Quotes:

WSU Head Coach Ken Bone

On Charlie Enquist's performance...
"He was outstanding. There isn't a whole lot else to say. He was just very good, and I thought he was pretty good defensively too."

On opportunities for players because of team injuries...
"It sure did give them an opportunity. Thankfully, they did a really nice job. I'm really happy for Dexter, that he hit a couple shots. But they all did a good job. You talk about Will being a walk-on and he steps in there and does a nice job, especially on the defensive end and Dexter was very good on the offensive end."

On the tightness of team because of injuries...
"These types of situation you are dealing with adversity and are short-handed, and I think players really tend to come together and do everything for the team. And that's what we praised them for in the locker room. We thought on both ends of the court we just really played as a group."

On defense setting the tone...
"It really did. I thought our defense was good early, and for the most part we sustained it for 40 minutes. I thought there were some lapses - the worst one was probably the first four or five minutes in the second half...
but we battled back and played through some situations where I know guys were really fatigued and got the job done."

On winning the rebound battle...
"They did still come up with 13 offensive boards, but all-in-all we did a good job on the boards. Thirteen is a lot, but that is what you get also when a team misses 44 shots - there are a lot more rebounds to get."

On high number of WSU turnovers...
"That's disappointing. That's very disappointing. We need to do a better job of taking care of the ball. I never thought we could beat any team by 20 or so points and have 21 turnovers. There aren't a lot of teams in our schedule that we are going to be able to do that against."

On Charlie Enquist's hard work paying off...
"It's always nice to see a guy get rewarded who is a very hard worker. He is a great team guy, and you just like to see guys like that have good games and have success. We are very happy, and we pointed out what he had done in the locker room and just started cheering for him. We are all very proud of Charlie."

On selfless post play between Motum and Enquist...
"They've done a good job of that. They are very selfless players."

WSU Forward Charlie Enquist

On if this was his best collegiate game...
"I think so. I'm pretty sure."

On satisfaction...
"Hard work is paying off. That is as satisfying as it gets. All the sweat, blood, coaches yelling at me - it feels good."

On help from teammates...
"I'm pretty sure almost every point I scored was from a dish from my teammates."

On being a fifth-year senior...
"I just realized that this is my last year. I want to go out with a bang. That's what I tried to do this summer - every workout, every stair we ran, every time we were in the gym, I would give my effort to the fullest. Glad to see it is finally starting to pay off."

WSU Forward Brock Motum

On Charlie Enquist...
"He works hard all the time. I'm just really happy that it paid off, and hopefully it will continue throughout the season."

On team effort overall...
"I thought our team effort was great. We had a few guys injured, and I thought we came together really well as a team. We played hard for a majority of the 40 minutes and that's been our goal since the beginning of the season, and I think we achieved that tonight."

On defensive performance...
"We followed the scout really well. We had a good practice yesterday and a good practice this morning. We knew who their shooters were, we knew who their drivers were, what their habits were - I think we showed that. Keeping a team under 50 points is a pretty good effort."

On Marcus Capers...
"When we can eliminate the opposite team's best player, it usually messes around with their whole structure. Marcus is that guy for us. He is an unbelievable defender. He deserves a lot more credit."

WSU Guard Reggie Moore

On if game plan was to go down low...
"Not really. We kind of figured they would come out and try to pressure us, and we just wanted to attack the hoop. Any time I attacked, I knew of these guys would be ready."

On high number of turnovers...
"I have to take better care of it and be more focused. In practice I don't turn the ball over as much. It's just something I have to keep getting better at."

On Charlie Enquist...
"I always thought Charlie was good. He has always been athletic and has been battling DeAngelo in practice for a while. I think it is just confidence. I know Mike Ladd and I always talk about making sure he has that confidence, because Charlie is good as long as he has that confidence."
