Cougar Women Survive Tough Competition

Stanford, Calif. -- Washington State University's women's golf team encountered their toughest competition of the fall season as they traveled to Stanford to face 10 top 25 teams including No. 2 Arizona and the defending NCAA Champions, No. 3 Arizona State Oct 24 and 25.

Washington State senior Stefanie Coleman and sophomore Jennifer Dodd, both ended the two-day tournament with 242 on their scorecards and in a tie for 75th place.

Arizona (298-300-287 --- 885) captured the tournament title, while host Stanford (288-305-294 --- 887) placed second. The Cougars finished in 19th place. No. 4 ranked Jenna Daniels (72-74-69 --- 215) from Arizona, earned top individual player honors.

UP NEXT: The Cougar women head to Hawaii for the Manoa Women's Intercollegiate hosted by the University of Hawaii--Manoa Nov. 2-3.
