Tennis Team Splits to Compete in Two Tournaments

THIS WEEK: Washington State will compete in two different tournaments this weekend. Representing the Cougars at the All-American Invitational in Pacific Palisades, Calif., are seniors Chris Martinez, Nora Gaal, and Orsolya Sallai. Attending the Cal-Nike Invitational in Berkeley, Calif., are Amy Toth and Zsofia Fodor.

HART ON THIS WEEKEND: "We have worked on some things since the Cougar Classic and the team has put forth a great effort in practice. We are definitely prepared to play this weekend," said Washington State Head Coach Lisa Hart.

COUGARS CLOSE-IN ON RECORDS: Seniors Nora Gaal and Chris Martinez are one and two wins away, respectively, from being placed on the Cougar all-time singles victories list.

UP NEXT: The Cougars will head Stanford, Calif., to compete in the ITA Regional Oct. 22-25.
