SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. - Washington State University women's golfer Kristen Allard won the CPT/Saratoga Spa Collegiate Open, her second victory on the Collegiate Players Tour this summer.
Allard, a rising junior from Porterville, Calif., fired a three-round total of 209 (-7), winning the event by 18 strokes. Her opening-round (66; -6) and final-round (68; -4) scores were the lowest and second-lowest of the tournament, respectively.
Earlier this summer Allard also took home medalist honors at the CPT/Penn Oaks Collegiate Open in West Chester, Pa. She posted a three-round total of 228 (+15) at the event, winning by three strokes.
"Kristen is a very talented golfer and she has worked very hard this summer," WSU Head Coach Kelli Kamimura said. "I am excited for her to get back to Pullman, and am looking for a very good year from her at WSU."
The win marked Allard's third victory on the CPT. She also won the CPT/Pinetree Collegiate Open last summer.
