Capers and Moore to Sign Autographs in Seattle Saturday

SEATTLE - Washington State University men's basketball senior Marcus Capers and junior Reggie Moorewill be signing autographs during the Cougar Kickoff Pregame Rally, Saturday, Oct. 22 as part of WSU football's Seattle Game at CenturyLink Field.

The two guards will be signing autographs and giving away posters at the CenturyLink Events Center from 4:30-7:30 p.m. in advance of this year's Cougar Hardwood Classic game presented by Idol Sports & Entertainment. This year's game matches the Cougars up with Pepperdine at KeyArena Thursday, Dec. 22. Complimentary 8x10 photos of the student-athletes, along with the 2011 Cougar Hardwood Classic collectable posters will be provided free of charge to all in attendance.

The 2011 Cougar Hardwood Classic marks the fifth all-time meeting between Washington State and Pepperdine, with the series currently tied at 2-2. The schools haven't faced each other since Dec. 13, 1986 with the Cougars defeating the Waves, 82-77 in Pullman. WSU is undefeated in the Cougar Hardwood Classic, which began in 2005, having won the six previous contests by an average of 16 points.

A native of Winter Haven, Fla., Capers averaged 5.8 points and 4.4 rebounds per game and was the only Cougar to start all 35 games last season. Capers shot .529 (72-for-136) from the field last year, and his career average of 0.53 blocks per game puts him 20th on WSU's all-time list.

Moore, a Seattle native, averaged 9.1 points and 3.4 assists per game last season. Over his first two seasons with the Cougars, he averaged 11.0 points in 32.8 minutes per outing. Moore's 3.83 career assists per game average ranks sixth on WSU's all-time list.
